En PrimeurI am going to the South of France this summer to stay near Bordeaux and my friends are very envious of me. One of my friends is really interested in wine and knows more about the subject than anyone that I have ever met. She was telling me the other day that, as I was going to Bordeaux, I would be able to buy my wine
En Primeur. Obviously, as I do not know that much about wine, I looked blankly back at her when she mentioned ?
En Primeur` but she went on to explain that it meant that I could elect to buy a type of wine whilst it was still in the barrel rather than in bottles and collect it later. She told me that buying wine
En Primeur often meant that it was much cheaper than traditional prices. This sounded really good to me as I do like to sample a fine wine so I have decided to find out much more about it before I visit France in the summer. I am also really excited about trying all of the French food that is available over there as I particularly love this type of cuisine.
